Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026/07/18
StudyHub SA (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the responsible party for personal information collected on kinjani.my. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver your study pack and support your purchase:
- Contact details you provide at checkout — full name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number.
- Transaction data — order reference, product purchased, amount, currency, timestamp, and the Paystack transaction reference. We do NOT receive, see or store your card number, CVV or PIN — those are handled directly by Paystack under PCI-DSS.
- Delivery data — the download links generated for your order and the times they are used, so we can regenerate expired links on request.
- Support correspondence — emails you send to support@kinjani.my.
- Basic analytics — pages visited, referrer, device type. This is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
2. Why we collect it (lawful basis)
- Performance of a contract — to fulfil your purchase and deliver the study pack.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records under South African law.
- Legitimate interest — to prevent fraud, chargebacks and unauthorised sharing of Content.
- Consent — for optional marketing emails; you can withdraw consent at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers strictly necessary to run the service:
- Paystack Payments (Pty) Ltd — payment processing (South Africa).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Our hosting and database provider — to store your order record securely.
We never sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Cross-border processing
Some of our processors (e.g. email delivery) operate servers outside South Africa. Where this happens we ensure the recipient country has adequate data-protection laws or that the processor is bound by contractual clauses that provide protection substantially similar to POPIA.
5. How long we keep it
- Transaction records: 5 years (SARS record-keeping requirement).
- Customer contact details: for as long as you have an active order or on request until you ask us to delete them.
- Support emails: 24 months from the last message in the thread.
6. Security
We host data with reputable providers, restrict admin access using role-based access control and row-level security, use TLS on all network traffic, and rotate access credentials regularly. No system is 100% secure — if you suspect your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the checkout and admin session to work. We do not use advertising cookies. Third parties (Paystack) may set their own cookies during payment, governed by their privacy policy.
8. Your rights under POPIA
You are entitled to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations);
- object to processing for direct marketing;
- complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg@justice.gov.za.
9. Children
Our service is aimed at Matric and university students. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before purchasing. We do not knowingly market to children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page.
